What usually concludes the layout designer's work on the site or landing page? The work is completed by uploading files to the client's domain or transferring an archive with files to the client. But you can't just take it, mark it, and hand it over. First, you need to check all the functionality of the site. We present to you the TOP EIGHT IMPORTANT POINTS, without which project delivery is impossible.

The work is completed by uploading files to the client's domain or transferring an archive with files to the client. But you can't just take it, mark it, and hand it over. First, you need to check all the functionality of the site. We present to you the TOP EIGHT IMPORTANT POINTS, without which project delivery is impossible.

1. The importance of grammar

Grammatical and spelling errors draw the reader's attention almost immediately. Therefore, it is extremely important to check its content for errors before handing over the site and, if possible, entrust this matter to the appropriate specialist

2. Feedback forms on the landing page

The main purpose of the forms on the site is to connect the visitor with the owner of the service. And therefore, if the forms do not work correctly, the site visitor will not receive the necessary service, and the owner will not receive a new client. The most important points in the work of the forms are: the client should receive an application with data from the form (name, phone number of the visitor, etc.) to the specified e-mail, and after sending the form, a message should appear to the visitor that the form has been successfully sent, or redirect to the gratitude page.

3. Links to social networks

The operability of links to social networks and phone numbers on the site. Again: links and phones do not work, the visitor does not receive the necessary service, and the site owner loses the client.

Ideally, in the header and footer of the site, there should be a clickable phone number of the company and, if possible, icons of social networks; they should all open in a new window.

4. Landing page description, favicon, and title

The title, description, and favicon all play important roles when searching for relevant information in Google or other search engines. The title contains the name of the site, the description is its mini-description, and the favicon is a small picture containing part of the logo.

It is the title that we look at in the search engine in the first place, and it is based on the information in it that we make a choice in favor of a particular site.

Therefore, you need to make sure that the title contains the name of the site or company, the description contains the most useful and brief information that will attract new visitors to the site, and the favicon will only speed up their site selection.

5. Image quality

If the images are not displayed correctly on the page or they are of very poor and blurry quality, this will only worsen the mood of the visitor to this page. It is important to select images for extensions that will work in all browsers and on all devices.

6. Templates

The template usually includes an index file, a file with styles, a file with scripts, a folder with standard images, a folder with fonts, etc.

7. Styles, codes, and their readability

By giving the website or landing page files to the client, one cannot be 100 percent sure that the client will not want to continue doing his own project in the future. Therefore, it is better to present the code in such a way that another coder can easily distinguish and understand it.

Or, suppose you have finished the layout, uploaded the files to the client's domain, and made several edits at his request. And a year later, the client reappears on the horizon with a new batch of edits. And if you have submitted your layout with incomprehensible or unreadable code, it will be difficult for you to understand your own code, especially when you have been doing it for so long.

Therefore, it is better to make the necessary indents and abbreviations and leave comments in the code during the layout. And then neither you nor any other coder will have any problems understanding this code.

8. Backups

Of course, it is also important to make backups of your work. If suddenly the files get lost somewhere or the client almost completely modifies his site and then wants to return to the previous form (and this happens), then it would be nice to have a saved copy. Naturally, you do not need to keep backups for years, but let at least a couple of months' worth of backups be in your folder just in case.
